This is a circumference-based estimate, not a clinical body-composition measurement. Consistent measuring technique matters more than one isolated reading.

This calculator gives an instant estimate from the values entered above. Use the result as a planning starting point, then review the assumptions and limitations.
Enter the requested values using consistent units. Change one input at a time when comparing scenarios, and verify every value before using the result.
The estimate uses the values currently entered and the formula described on this page. Any fees, taxes, timing rules or personal circumstances not requested are excluded.
This calculator estimates body-fat percentage from body measurements using a circumference-based equation.
The U.S. Navy-style method uses logarithmic relationships between height and selected circumferences; the exact equation differs by sex.
For an illustrative set of measurements, the calculator may estimate 20%; this means roughly 20% of total body mass is estimated as fat, not that exactly 20% has been measured.
Use repeated measurements under similar conditions to observe a trend rather than relying on one reading.
Tape placement and measurement error can materially affect the result. Circumference equations are estimates and are not equivalent to DEXA or clinical assessment.
